The original byre at Winkston Farm has been carefully converted to an exceptionally high standard, creating two charming self-catering cottages on the outskirts of Peebles, in the heart of the Tweed Valley.
Great care has been taken to preserve the character of the traditional whin-stone building, while adding modern comfort throughout. We’re also proud that our cottages have achieved the Scottish Tourist Board “Access for Residents with Mobility Difficulties” award.
Each cottage offers stylish, well-equipped accommodation for up to four guests, with tasteful décor, comfortable furnishings and ongoing upgrades to ensure a relaxing stay. Downstairs, you’ll find a spacious open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchen, along with a shower room and WC.
It’s perfectly placed for biking at Glentress and Innerleithen and has secure bike storage with drying facilities as well as CCTV. We are also well placed for walkers, golfers and sightseers exploring the Scottish Borders.
Upstairs, the bedroom features zip-and-link beds, giving you the option of twins or a king-size bed. A spiral staircase from the lounge leads to a minstrel gallery, providing a second sleeping area with twin beds or a king-size option.
