Covid – 19 Information

The health, safety and security of our guests are our highest priority. Please take a moment to take note of how we are providing a safe environment to welcome our guests.

Please note: all Covid-19 policies are based on current UK government guidelines are being constantly reviewed based on the latest advice. With that in mind, some of the information you receive at the time of booking may be out of date by the time you arrive at the holiday cottages.

Some of the things we are doing at Winkston Holiday Accommodation to help minimise risks:

Our housekeeping team will wear gloves, masks and aprons whilst cleaning the cottages, and will change these between cottages. They will take extra time and care to sanitise door handles, light switches, remote controls and any regularly touched items and areas. We will air the cottages thoroughly. Our accommodation is always cleaned to a high standard and we intend to meet & maintain this standard before your arrival. Our risk assessment statement provides more ‘technical’ detail. We will provide Hand Sanitizer at each entrance and we require that you and your entire group use this upon entering your cottage. We will also provide surface sanitizer for you, and hand soaps.

Unfortunately we will be removing items such as children’s toys, outdoor toys, board games, cushions, throws, and ornaments etc from our cottages for the foreseeable future, but you are more than welcome to bring your own. We ask that you please make sure these are taken home with you.

We ask that all guests follow the government guidelines of social distancing and washing hands regularly. This is the responsibility of the guest.

It is important that all guests depart no later than 10am and do not arrive before 3pm, so there is no crossover between our staff & guests, and we have as much time as possible to air and sanitise the property. Where possible, we are asking you to make sure the house is tidy, you have removed all rubbish from all bins and elsewhere before you leave, and you have taken all your belongings as you will not be able to re enter after departing at 10am.We have provided a black bag for all laundry, if you could strip your beds, and put the linen in the laundry bag provided in each bedroom. This will enormously reduce the ‘handling’ of used bed linen for our staff members and families safety. Please could you open all windows & doors on departure to help with the airing of our cottages.

Myself and my family would like to thank you for your co-operation in these difficult times, together we can all stay safe & well, and continue to enjoy this beautiful part of Scotland.

Thank you,
Jan
